Used for the evidence that dependant policy changes were already affecting international recruitment, including early indications of a 63 per cent reduction in deposits paid by international postgraduate applicants for the September 2024 intake, reported deposit falls of 69 per cent for India and 74 per cent for Nigeria, the relationship between postgraduate taught recruitment and the Graduate route, concerns about recruitment agents in certain markets, the recommendation that universities publish information on their use of agents, the route's effect on the attractiveness of the Student visa offer, the committee's conclusion that the route had played a major role in supporting the International Education Strategy, and the committee's account of international fee revenue mitigating domestic teaching and research funding gaps.
